This website ("our site") is operated by a member of the Premier Foods group of companies, the ultimate holding company of which is Premier Foods plc (registered in England and Wales with company number 05160050 and registered address Premier House, Centrium Business Park, Griffiths Way, St. Albans, Hertfordshire, AL1 2RE, United Kingdom).
All references to 'our', 'us', 'we', 'company' or "Premier Foods" within this policy are deemed to refer to Premier Foods plc, its subsidiaries, affiliates and associates.

Premier Foods is committed to protecting and respecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy together with our Terms of Site Use sets out the basis on which any personal information we collect from you, or that you provide to us, will be used, disclosed and held by us. Please read the following carefully to understand our views and practices regarding your personal information and how we will treat it.

“Personal information” means information or an opinion (whether true or not, and whether recorded in material for or not) about an identified individual, or from which an individual’s identity is reasonably identifiable. 

1    Information we may collect from you

We may collect personal information about you in the following ways:
  • When you register with our site.
  • When you  use our site (including information collected by cookies). 
  • When you otherwise contact us.
  • When you contribute, or upload any information, to our site (including when filling out forms and contributing to social media feeds). 
In addition, we may collect personal information in the form of CVs and job applications. This information will only be used for recruitment purposes and will not otherwise be used in the ways described in this Privacy Policy.

We may store such information in our electronic systems or in those of our third party service providers or contractors.

The personal information that we collect from you may be transferred to, and stored at, a destination outside the European Economic Area ("EEA"), including in the following countries: USA, Canada, Australia, India. It may also be processed by staff operating outside the EEA who work for us or for one of our suppliers. Such staff maybe engaged in, among other things, the management of our ranking systems, the analysis of aggregated data, and the provision of support services. By submitting your personal data, you agree to this transfer, storing or processing. We will take all steps reasonably necessary to ensure that your data is treated securely and in accordance with this privacy policy.

All information you provide to us is stored on our, or our service providers’, servers. Any payment transactions will be encrypted. 

Where we have given you (or where you have chosen) a password which enables you to access certain parts of our site, you are responsible for keeping this password confidential. We ask you not to share a password with anyone.

Unfortunately, the transmission of information via the internet is not completely secure. Although we will do our best to protect your personal data, we cannot guarantee the security of your data transmitted to our site; any transmission is at your own risk. Once we have received your information, we will use strict procedures and security features to try to prevent unauthorised access.

2    Purposes for which we collect, use and hold your personal information

The purposes for which we collect, use, hold and disclose personal information about you include (but are not limited to):
  • To ensure that content from our site is presented in the most effective manner for you and for your device. 
  • To provide you with information, products or services that you request from us or which we feel may interest you, where you have consented to be contacted for such purposes. 
  • To carry out our obligations arising from any contracts entered into between you and us.
  • To allow you to participate in any interactive features of our site, when you choose to do so.
  • To monitor your use of our site.

If you do not wish to, or are not able to, provide us with the requested personal information, we may not be able to provide you with the goods, services or information you have requested. 

3    Disclosure of your personal information

We do not disclose information about identifiable individuals to third parties, unless you have consented to this, but we may provide them with aggregate information about our users (for example, we may inform them that 500 men aged under 30 have clicked on a particular part of our site on any given day). We may also use such aggregate information to help other parts of the Premier Foods Group and selected third parties reach the kind of audience they want to target (for example, women in Sydney). We may make use of the personal information we have collected from you to enable us to comply with the selected third parties, including any advertisers', wishes, for example by displaying an advertisement to its target audience.

We value your personal information and only share such information with third parties that provide adequate protection for such information.

We may disclose your personal information to any member of our group of companies, which means our subsidiaries, our ultimate holding company and its subsidiaries, as defined in section 1162 of the UK Companies Act 2006.

We may also disclose your personal information to third parties:
  • To carry out the uses of your information set out above on our behalf. We shall ensure that such parties keep your information confidential and do not use your information for any purpose other than permitted under this Privacy Policy. One or more of these third parties may be located outside of Australia, including in the United Kingdom, USA, Canada, and India.
  • In the event that we sell or buy any business or assets, in which case we may disclose your personal information to the prospective seller or buyer of such business or assets.
  • If Premier Foods Group or a substantial part of its assets (for example, one or more of the Premier Foods Group's brands) are acquired by a third party, in which case personal information held by it about its users and customers will be one of the transferred assets.
  • If we are under a duty to disclose or share your personal information in order to comply with any legal obligation, or in order to enforce or apply our terms of use and other agreements; or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Premier Foods Group, our customers, or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection, age and identity verification and credit risk reduction.
The Premier Foods Group of companies sells products under many well-known brands. We may collate any information about you which you have provided to any of our brands.

4    Accessing or correcting your personal information

We will take all reasonable steps to ensure that personal information held by us is accurate, complete, up-to-date, relevant and not misleading. Under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) you have the right as an individual to find out what personal information we hold about you and to request that we correct any errors in your personal information. 5    IP Addresses and Cookies

We may collect information about your computer, including where available your IP address, operating system and browser type, for system administration and to report aggregate information within Premier Foods Group and to selected third parties. This is statistical data about our users' browsing actions and patterns, and does not identify any individual.

For the same reason, we may obtain information about your general internet usage by using a cookie file which is stored on the hard drive of your computer. Cookies contain information that is transferred to your computer's hard drive. They help us to improve our site and to deliver a better and more personalised service. They enable us:
  • To estimate our audience size and usage pattern.
  • To store information about your preferences, and so allow us to customise our site according to your individual interests.

What types of cookies are there and what do they do?

Before we explain what cookies are we need to explain what a few commonly used terms mean:

6    Category 1: strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the running of a website e.g. a cookie that remembers what you've put into a shopping basket.

9    Category 4: targeting cookies or advertising cookies

These cookies contain a unique key that is able to distinguish individual users' browsing habits or store a code that can be translated into to a set of browsing habits or preferences using information stored elsewhere, for example an online retailer could analyse your previous purchases and make suggestions based on what other purchasers of the same goods bought. Similarly, they can be used by third parties e.g. market analysts to build up a picture of your favourite sites, so they can target more relevant promotions to you. They often link to sites run by different companies e.g. if you have been shown an advert on one social networking site, the cookie may prevent the same advert being shown again on a different website.

These cookies collect the most information about users, so where the website operator is responsible for setting a targeting or advertising cookie it is important to obtain a clear informed consent from the user to their use. 

We will always make it very clear if we use one of these cookies on our site and ask you for your consent before a cookie of this nature is placed on your device.

11     Public (or Interactive) areas of our sites

Information that you post on or through the public areas of our site (e.g. any social media feeds, bulletin boards, blogs and discussion groups) are generally accessible to, and may be collected and used by, others and may result in unsolicited messages or other contact from others. You should not provide personal information about yourself in public (or interactive) (if applicable) areas of our site. 

12      Uploading Information 

In uploading or posting information to our site you grant us the right to use, copy, distribute and disclose to third parties any such information for the purposes set out in the Privacy Policy.

If at any time you wish to leave our site, you can notify us by completing our Contact Us form or contact our Sharwood’s International Brand Team using the contact details provided in paragraph 4 above.  On receiving your notification, and on receipt of a request from you, we will use reasonable endeavours to remove from our site all information provided by you. We reserve the right to retain copies of any information that you provide for record keeping purposes and compliance with our legal obligations.

You will be truthful and accurate in any information that you contribute or upload to our site.

13    Your Rights

You have the right to ask us not to process your personal data for marketing purposes. We will usually inform you (before collecting your data) if we intend to use your data for such purposes or if we intend to disclose your information to any third party for such purposes. You can exercise your right to prevent such processing by checking certain boxes on the forms we use to collect your data.
