Rogan Josh Simmer Sauce

A lively tomato curry with roasted spices and a chilli kick.

Serves 4

Water, Tomato Purée (27%), Tomatoes (26%), Onion (21%), Rapeseed Oil, Yoghurt (2.5%), Garlic Purée, Ginger Purée, Modified starch (1422), Sugar, Coriander, Ground Spices, Salt, Ground Cumin, Chilli Powder, Acidity Regulator (Lactic Acid).

Store in a cool, dry place. Once opened refrigerate and use within 3 days.

Lamb Rogan Josh
  1. Gently fry 350g diced lamb for a couple of minutes.
  2. Stir in all the sauce, bring to the boil, cover and simmer gently until the lamb is cooked through.
Alternatively, cook in a preheated oven for 1 1/2 hours at 180°C fan, 200­°C conventional. For that extra twist stir in a couple of quartered fresh tomatoes just before serving. Serve with rice and Sharwood's Puppodums and Green Label Mango Chutney.
